Advisory is a homeroom period to allow teachers to form a relationship with their homeroom students so the student have a connection to help them in their academic performance. Students are allowed to work on assignments and teachers will help students monitor their grades, attendance and assignment completion.  Students who are struggling will receive more support and on a quarterly basis, teachers will reassess student needs in determining the frequency of individual student meetings. Advisory time is also includes the morning announcements, booster videos, iXL interventions and infrequent student group meetings.
