Core English Class

A pullout class where basic reading and writing skills are covered. Writing skills include parts of speech, sentence, and paragraph building. Reading unit includes both fiction and nonfiction. Students also complete weekly vocabulary assignments. Regular classroom literature and grammar books are often used in these classes. Study skills and organizational skills are incorporated into the structure of this class. Classes are developed according to the needs of the students with emphasis on developing the necessary life skills required to succeed after junior high.
