Spanish I

Length of Class: Year (both 1st & 2nd semesters)

Grade Level(s): 8th Grade

Elective Class Prerequisite(s): B in the two previous years of English

Students will learn basic vocabulary which includes developing reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Good memorization and spelling skills are essential. A passing grade is required for semester I in order to continue in semester 2. Students learn the basic phonics system. Students study the geography and cultures in Spain and other Hispanic countries.
